My approach
Your body, your story, your daily life.
I integrate a trauma-informed, biopsychosocial approach to care, in pelvic health, hand therapy, and maternal health. My work emphasizes safety, choice, pacing, and collaboration.
A biopsychosocial lens
Three spheres, one person.
My practice is shaped by a biopsychosocial lens, recognizing that pelvic health is not solely a physical issue, but one that is deeply influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors interacting together.
- Your bodyBiological
Your muscles, joints, breathing, and nervous system.
- Your experiencesPsychological
Your stress, emotions, past experiences, thoughts, and feelings of safety or confidence in your body.
- Your daily lifeSocial
Your work, family, relationships, intimacy, social activities, and the roles you navigate every day.
A trauma-informed approach
What it means when we meet.
Being trauma-informed means considering what you've lived through, like a difficult birth or social isolation, because it can affect how your body functions. Four values guide every session.
- 01
Safety
Your story is welcomed as it is. I listen, and I take what you're going through seriously: no one brushes off your symptoms here.
- 02
Choice
What you know about your body guides the plan. You decide what we talk about, what we try, and what we keep for later.
- 03
Pacing
We move forward step by step, at your speed. Every change has to be realistic and last in your real life, not just for the length of a session.
- 04
Collaboration
We work as a team, you and I. And when other health professionals can help, in mental health, gynecology, urology, or nutrition, I refer you.
What practice taught me
My clients weren't just looking for exercises: they were looking for understanding.
So I start from what you know about your body, and I explain what's going on. Helping you understand it better is fundamental: this is empowerment.
